Have your say

We’ve developed a new Early Intervention Strategy to support our residents from the earliest possible start in life, and we’d like to hear your views.

The full draft strategy can be found in the documents section of this webpage.

Early intervention is support given to a child, young person, or family when a problem first emerges, and can be provided at any stage in their life before problems become more complex and further support is needed.

We have a lot of excellent services in Hammersmith & Fulham, but we know they are complex and fragmented. As part of our work with partners and talking to young people and their families, this strategy aims to reduce the complexity and make sure families get the right support from the right people at the right time.

For example, when a child is showing signs of long-term speech, language and communication needs, our new strategy will ensure we can deliver improved support earlier by upskilling people in the child’s life to deliver specialist support.

This new strategy was created with stakeholders across H&F who each helped develop our local area approach. This includes health partners, schools, local young people and the Young Hammersmith & Fulham Foundation.

We want to ensure the strategy is fully inclusive and reflects the concerns and needs of residents who interact with the early intervention service. We would also like to hear from those who do not currently access available support, to ensure we address any lack of equal opportunity.

Please share your thoughts before the consultation closes on the 22 July 2022 via the online survey at the bottom of this page.

Before answering these questions, please read the draft early intervention strategy.

An executive summary of the strategy can be found here Executive Summary H&F Draft Early Intervention Strategy 2022 to 2027 (opens in a new window). This is a condensed version of the key information contained in the strategy.
