Introduction
Hammersmith & Fulham Council is redeveloping the site of the former children's centre at 11 Farm Lane. The site is underutilised and provides an opportunity for the delivery of 31 high-quality new homes for the local community.
The re-development of the site will:
deliver 31 high quality, energy efficient new homes on this under-used site
provide affordable housing for local people (a minimum of 50% of the new homes will be affordable and available via a local lettings policy)
be self-financing to avoid putting pressure on other council budgets
provide high-quality landscaping which encourages biodiversity
be built to high energy efficiency, Passivhaus standards
As the developer of this project, Hammersmith & Fulham Council will retain the ownership of the site and will manage all affordable homes provided on the site, along with the maintenance of communal and external areas.
Next steps
The planning application for the development was approved in April 2023.
We are currently in the process of procuring the main construction contractor that will carry out the building work, which is planned to start in Summer 2024.
