Aldbourne Road - tree pit extensions
What are we proposing?
We are proposing to widen the existing tree pits alongside the footway on Aldbourne Road, White City. This will increase greening on the road and to depave around the trees, allowing more rainwater to soak into the ground naturally.
The existing tree pits that we are plan to extend will be on the footway between 11 properties. This will help boost biodiversity, create space for wildlife and beautify the area (see further details below).
It’s all part of our work to make your local area greener and cleaner as we work to make H&F the best place to live, work and socialise in.
The project is funded with support from local investors through the H&F Green Investment Scheme. It offers residents a chance to earn fixed returns on investments from £5 while helping fund vital green projects such as this. For more information, visit the H&F Green Investment website.

If you would like to plant and maintain any of the tree pits to beautify the area, just let us know in the survey below. We are keen to support residents who want to adopt a tree pit by providing you with the initial plants and work. For those tree pits that are not adopted, we will plant and maintain these.
More information on tree pit adoption can be found on our guide to planting tree bases webpage. Please contact Healthystreetsprojects@lbhf.gov.uk to let us know which pit you’d like to adopt. This step is essential so we can let our contractors know not to mow the area.
