Introduction
Hammersmith & Fulham Council is consulting with residents on the proposals to redevelop the Mund Street school site to provide approximately 100 new homes for the local community.
The former school site on Mund Street, now surplus to educational requirements, offers an opportunity to provide much needed new homes and support the strategy to ensure 3,000 new energy efficient affordable homes are built or underway over the next four years.
The redevelopment of the Mund Street School site will:
Deliver approximately 100 high quality, energy-efficient homes on this under-used site
Provide affordable housing for local people (a minimum of 50% of the new homes will be affordable and prioritised for residents of West Kensington & Gibbs Green estates)
Be self-financing to avoid putting pressure on other council budgets
Provide high-quality landscaping which will encourage biodiversity and complement the surrounding area
Be a ‘car-free development (only accessible parking)
Current Position
Thank you to everyone who was able to come along to the second stage of public exhibitions which took place in spring 2024. It was great to share the proposals with you and hear your thoughts and feedback.
Feedback will be used in the work we continue to carry out developing the designs for this development.
If you weren’t able to attend, you can view our Virtual Exhibition Boards here.
