Zone M parking changes consultation
Time to have your say!
Zone M is a popular residential area bordered by the Thames River Walk and its historic pubs to the south, and the Green Flag Award-winning Ravenscourt Park to the north.
It’s located between Stamford Brook and Ravenscourt Park tube stations, offering easy access to Central London.
West London Free School, Latymer Upper School and St Peter’s Church of England Primary School all lie within the zone.
Current controlled parking hours are:
Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm
No maximum stay restrictions
Visitors can pay to park for up to 8 hours on weekdays and park for free during evenings and weekends
Why we’re consulting
Parking rules have recently changed in nearby zones, Zone A (towards Hammersmith) has extended controls into evenings and weekends and Chiswick now has restrictions seven days a week
This puts Zone M at risk of increased parking pressure. With no maximum stay limits, commuters can park all day and travel to work via Ravenscourt Park and Stamford Brook Tube stations. Free evening and weekend parking also attracts vans and delivery vehicles, turning residential streets into informal car parks.
Have your say
We’re asking residents whether Zone M’s parking rules should change to better protect your streets.
You can choose to:
Keep the current controls
Or extend controls to 8.30am – 10pm, seven days a week, with a 2-hour maximum stay (this restriction will not apply to your visitors)
This is your chance to shape the future of parking in your area. Please complete our short questionnaire to share your views and help us decide if changes are needed.
Thanks
H&F Parking Services Team
The consultation will end on Friday 5 December 2025.

Control times
We use control times to set out on what day and at what part of the day the permits are active. There are pros and cons of having longer or shorter hours. By controlling the maximum hours of any stay, we can prevent commuter parking yet support shops and restaurants in your community by allowing short stays.
Categories
We use different permits to help categorise people, who are they, why do they want to park, how long they can stay and how much they should pay.
The categories are:
You (residents’ vehicles)
Your visitors (resident’s visitor’s vehicle)
Businesses (business vehicles)
Business visitors (shoppers or business visitor vehicles)
