Returning Officer’s comments and proposals
The Returning officer has three proposals for changes in this ward:
1. Merge PHA and PHAH polling districts.
The Parliamentary constituency boundary no longer cuts through this ward, so PHA and PHAH polling districts should now be merged into a single polling district, called PHA. This will not change voting arrangements for any voters, who will vote in the same building as they currently do
2. PHB polling district - designate All Saints Church, Church Gate, Bishops Park, SW6 3LB as the polling place.
All Saints Parish Hall is currently undergoing extensive renovation, and All Saints Church was successfully used for polling in both 2024 elections for the voters in this district. This station to be reviewed again when the Parish Hall works are completed.
3. PHE polling district - designate Sands End Arts and Community Centre, South Park, Peterborough Road, SW6 3EZ as the polling place.
Parsons Green Club is no longer available for use as a polling place. Sands End Community Arts and Community Centre was successfully used at the General Election in July 2024, has excellent facilities and is easily located by residents. It is large enough to accommodate both polling stations comfortably. However, this does mean that voters for this district have to vote outside their own district, so alternatives in the PHE district would be particularly welcome.
Update following initial consultation: Proposals shown above are unchanged.
