Your feedback can directly influence future improvement works at the site.
Below: A view across the new green sanctuary from the Southeast side. Two paths run through the space, with planting to each side and in the centre. The planting is low enough to see over and several new trees create a sense of enclosure. The existing London Plane trees form a green backdrop. There are several seats and a potential public art feature.
Below: A plan of the new design. North is at the top of the page. Paths run from the north of the site to entrances at the south east and south west, and also join up these entrances, forming a triangle. In the centre of the triangle is a long, shallow dip which will catch surface water from the footpaths. The rest of the space is planted with low growing shrubs, grass, and several small trees. The right-hand path is wide, and several seats are positioned at the edges. There are more seats at the edge of the planting at the Southern end of the site. Future developments suggested are a public art feature and play trail through the central planted area.
Below: A section or slice through the site, from west to east, showing the new ground levels.
