Following H&F’s declaration of a climate and ecological emergency, we have drafted the borough’s first tree strategy. This document outlines our vision for the future of trees in H&F and how they can contribute to H&F becoming the greenest borough.

By working with residents, businesses, and local partners, we are determined to increase the number of trees in the borough, ensuring that we protect the trees we already have whilst working closer with residents and businesses to achieve this.

We’ve drafted a six-year strategy taking us to 2030. This lays out the steps we want to take:

  1. Increase canopy cover from 14% to 16.5%
  2. Preserve and improve our current tree stock
  3. Work closer with residents and stakeholders to foster new partnerships that benefit trees and the community

To share your views on the tree strategy, respond to our online survey below. It’s your chance to feedback on the strategy and give us your views and ideas.

If you have any questions or need the survey or related information in any other format including hard copy or an Easy Read version, please email us at TreesEnquiries@lbhf.gov.uk

Consultation closes 7 June 2024.
