Why we are consulting

The proposed fees and charges listed in the attached document are being introduced to ensure that the council’s income from street trading is sufficient to cover the reasonable administrative and other costs in connection with our functions under Section 32 of the London Local Authorities Acts 1990. (E.g. the collection, removal and disposal of waste, the cleansing of streets, reasonable administrative costs and the cost of enforcement)

The London Local Authorities Acts 1990 Section 32 sub section (7) (a) gives the opportunity for licence holders to make representations to the Council regarding these proposals.

Hammersmith & Fulham Council is proposing to increase its fees and charges by approximately 4% across most sites and services from the 1 April 2026 and we would like to hear your views to inform our decision.

Please note that this consultation is only open to existing street trading licence holders (as defined in the London Local Authorities Acts 1990). Any responses to the online survey will be considered to be a formal representation.

This consultation closes on 9 March 2026 at 5pm.

All data will be held in the strictest confidence and will only be used to help the council to better manage the Markets and Street Trading portfolio. We will not keep personal data for longer than is required.
