Preventing street harassment in Hammersmith & Fulham
Thank you to all who responded to our consultation on introducing a PSPO to tackle street harassment. The PSPO was supported by 85% of respondents and as a result, approved on 21 June 2024.
The original order contained a mistake, referring to an Article that didn't exist. We've fixed this error and issued a correction – see the correction slip on the side bar for further detail.
The Order has been updated accordingly. You can now view the new Order on this page and share your thoughts below.
How can a PSPO help?
We take a zero-tolerance approach against all forms of harassment and are taking urgent steps to create a safe and equal place for our residents.
PSPOs are used to help keep our public spaces safe and free from anti-social behaviour. This PSPO would help H&F’s Law Enforcement Team (LET) and police officers to intervene when witnessing any form of harassment in the public realm through issuing fixed penalty notices.
